Exhibition visit - Gregory Crewdson
When I visited this exhibition I was amazed by the layout the huge photos expanded across the walls yet quality of the image still maintained. the images themselves offered a surreal representation of nature and I feel it was extremely aesthetically pleasing. However the amount of equipment required and preparation I feel takes away from reality and can be misleading although he tells stories with in photos very well. In addition with the scene he sets up the whole story is open to interpretation especially with no explanation placard. This idea I will defiantly consider in my curatorship as it engages with the viewer a lot more than if the story is handed to you on a plate. In addition to this the photos present a expressionless subject which adds to the interpretation aspect.
Antoine Bruy
After seeing Gregory Crewdson work I was inspired to research photographers documenting struggles of people
in the wild. Antoine Bruy whom travelled through Europe and USA to meet people who reject society and decide to
live off of the land this resulted in some beautiful images of such a radical lifestyle change.

Gallery Visit Tyburn Gallery - Mónica de Miranda
The reason I visited this exhibition was because I wanted to see how different settings and environments are captured, I extremely like the way that she concentrates on one part of the room similar to the photos taken by Antoine Bruy. With this concentration on one aspect or object I feel it tells a lot about the setting how its kept, the colour and state.
Gallery Visit Proud Camden - Terence Spencer
This exhibition of Terence Spencer's work documenting the different eras in English history this work allowed me to see a photographer who specialises in documentary therefore getting a feel for a successful style.
